For the first time in series history, Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) presented by AMSOIL will introduce Pro 2 and Pro Buggy racing as part of its revised class list for the 2026-27 season. The series will also bring back Pro Lite racing for the second consecutive year. These additions will further expand CORR’s race program, supplementing its side-by-side roots with more truck and buggy racing.
“It’s very exciting for us to include Pro 2, Pro Lite, and Pro Buggy as part of the upcoming CORR season,” said CORR co-owner Jason Ramsay. “We’ve been asked by quite a few racers to expand our classes so they can come out and compete, and adding them is a great opportunity for us to grow professional short course racing in the southwest. We’re looking forward to having a lot of new racers join us as we kick off the new season in November!”
Pro 2 trucks represent some of the highest-level short course off-road racing in North America, with powerful V8 engines producing up to 800 horsepower and durable truck bodies that can go wheel-to-wheel on the dirt and in the air. Pro Buggy vehicles, meanwhile, trade large motors and high horsepower for lightness, agility, and aggressive suspension design on a single-seat, open-wheel body. Both are among the fastest classes in the sport, and both have an extensive history competing in the southwest.
Pro 2 and Pro Buggy join Pro Lite, which made its CORR debut with the 2025-26 season, on the series ladder. While the Pro Lite trucks produce roughly half the horsepower of a Pro 2, the racing is just as exciting, and the platform serves as a perfect stepping stone for the Pro 2 truck. Johnny Holtger took the inaugural Pro Lite championship.
The Pro 2, Pro Buggy, and Pro Lite class confirmations coincide with the release of the full 2026-27 CORR rulebook, which is available to racers now.
