Clean Sweeps for Top Pros, Youth Racers Highlight CORR Round 4 at Firebird

The 2025 portion of Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR)’s 2025-26 season is officially in the books after Sunday’s action at Firebird Motorsports Park, and Round 4 of the campaign produced some of the most exciting racing of the season so far. When all was said and done, Koen Crawford (Pro SXS) and John Holtger (Pro Lite) headlined a long list of winners who managed to sweep the weekend—10 in all.

Crawford’s sweep is just the latest in a long list of wild moments that have made Pro SXS anyone’s championship to win. Not only did the sprint car convert come out to Firebird as a one-off and win both races, but the field also saw issues for Saturday podium finishers and title contenders Beau Judge (flat tire) and Jason Weller (rollover). As a result, Kyle Arkenau and Bryan McCormick earned their first podium finishes of the season.

“This is definitely a surprise,” said Crawford. “I came out here just to have some fun and hopefully run mid-pack with these guys, but ended up not too bad, so I’ll take it!”

Holtger now boasts a comfortable lead in Pro Lite thanks Michael Funk’s fill-in efforts in October. Funk finished first and second in that event, and he’s been rewarded for his efforts with a second truck as teammate to Holtger; this weekend, he finished second on both days.

Pro NA didn’t produce a repeat winner on the weekend, but it did see its first two-time winner on the season after Ryder Chapman held off Ryder VanBeekum in a thrilling battle in the closing laps. The close friends and R-N-R Steel Racing teammates kept it clean to the finish, crossing the line just .173 seconds apart. As a result, VanBeekum now leads Chapman by a single point, 157-156, in the standings.

“That was a fun race,” Chapman said. “Towards the end, I really had to lock in, because he was right there the whole time. It was really fun being able to race hard and clean the whole time. I loved being door to door, and the adrenaline of it was just amazing.”

In a remarkable feat for CORR’s top youth racers, all seven of Saturday’s winners ran it back on Sunday, starting with Bryce Tomassi (170 Production) and Elliott Brooke (250 Modified) taking their second wins of the season. Tomassi became the first repeat winner in one of CORR’s deepest fields, while Brooke equaled Brody Kline’s back-to-back wins from Firebird in October.

From there, Stetson Wyman (170 Limited) and Addie Atteberry (800 Open) scored their third wins in a row, Kyle Niner (Youth Production) and Ryder Greco (Youth Restricted) kept their perfect seasons alive, and Saturday’s entire Youth SXS podium of Mikey Childress, Kash Hart, and Kody Krantz reprised their finishing positions before the intermission.

Niner and Greco are the last remaining drivers with a perfect season after Mia Chapman came home third in Pro Production. In the closing laps, Chapman and Rylen Lane fought with everything they had to get past Jeremy Spears, but last lap contact and damage dropped Chapman to the final podium spot as Spears scored his first win of the season.

Michael Burnstein came out on top in Pro Am Turbo, while Carson Greco (Pro Am) and Paul O’Brien (SR1) returned to the top steps of the podium for the third time apiece this season. In the multi-class Sportsman race, Saturday runners-up Austin Dorn and Matt Dyer did one spot better in their respective divisions to round out the list of winners.

Three Winners in Three Races for Top CORR Classes After Saturday Action at Firebird

Three of Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR)’s top Pro classes have seen three different winners in as many races to start the 2025-26 season after Saturday’s action at Firebird Motorsports Park. Koen Crawford (Pro SXS) and Johnny Holtger (Pro Lite) took wins in their first turns behind the wheel this season, while Trent Ouellette (Pro NA) broke through after posting the top qualifying time at both events so far this year.

Crawford was one of many newcomers in CORR’s top SXS class, which swelled from 10 entries at Firebird two months ago to 17 this weekend. He outlasted the field in a hard-fought race that saw multiple early incidents and a hard fight from Beau Judge, who nonetheless walked away with his third podium of the season.

“It was great!” said Crawford. “We struggled in qualifying with some turbo issues, but we got the boost figured out. I’d just like to thank Beau, he raced me perfectly clean, and that was probably the most fun race I’ve had in a while. After the mandatory (caution), I lost brakes—they went straight to the floor, it was definitely a struggle to get around.”

“It was an awesome battle between us two,” added Judge. “He was driving the wheels off his car, I was driving the wheels off my car. On the restart, I thought I had him, but he was just able to pull back ahead of me again. But it was totally fun—he was racing me clean, and it was great.”

For Holtger, Saturday was his second credited win of the season, after Michael Funk filled in for him in October and won the opener. For his efforts, Funk was rewarded with a ride of his own this time around, scoring second place. Ouellette, meanwhile, had to hold off Ryder Vanbeekum and Ryder Chapman for the Pro NA checkered flag, as all three of that class’s winners so far this year shared the podium.

“It’s been a lot of work to get here,” said Ouellette. “Qualifying went really good yesterday, I just wanted to get out front and have a clean race. Me and Bobby (Vanbeekum) had a good battle going the first couple laps, then he broke, but then my spotter said Ryder was right there, we gotta go, gotta go. It was a really fun race!”

Only Mia Chapman could buck the trend in the Pro classes, taking her third straight Pro Production win thanks in part to an exciting outside pass around Rylen Lane after the mid-race restart. The only other drivers with perfect seasons so far are Kyle Niner in Youth Production and Ryder Greco in Youth Restricted.

Mikey Childress and Kash Hart are set for one of the toughest battles of the year in Youth SXS after splitting the opener, and it was Childress who broke the tie with his second win of the season as Hart clawed his way from the back of the pack to second on Saturday. Paul O’Brien also added his second win of the season in SR1, while Stetson Wyman (170 Limited) and Addie Atteberry (800 Open) are now on two-race winning streaks.

Like the top two Pro classes, a deep 170 Production field has seen three winners in as many rounds, with Bryce Tomassi the latest. Also scoring their first wins of the season were Elliott Brooke (250 Modified), Jayden Manchester-Coon (Pro Am), Rhyan Denney (Pro Am Turbo), Shaun Jones (Sportsman), and Calvin O’Dell (Sportsman Turbo).

CORR Race Preview: 2025-26 Rounds 3-4 | Firebird

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) is back in action this weekend with Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2025-26 season at Firebird Motorsports Park. After a thrilling opening event in October, this weekend gives racers a shot to apply what they’ve learned about the track and their opponents in the opener.

Track Facts

Firebird Motorsports Park has been the most frequent host of CORR events, including the entirety of last season’s racing and three of this season’s events. The Arizona venue has undergone multiple reconfigurations since it was first built in 2008, with its current layout matching a high-flying frontstretch with a series of tight hairpins.

Racer Spotlight

In the opening doubleheader, none of the drivers in Pro SXS or Pro NA could establish themselves as the definitive championship favorite; both classes are separated by six points or less in the top three. However, Ryder Chapman was able to take a win in both classes, putting him first in Pro NA by three over Ryder VanBeekum and tying him for second in Pro SXS with Beau Judge, five points back of Chase Carr.

Not so in Pro Production and Pro Am Turbo, which run together as a multi-class race. Mia Chapman and Steve Hoffman, respectively, swept the opener in their respective classes and take double-digit points leads into this weekend. The bigger question is who will be the first across the line, as they split that honor in October.

Brothers Carson and Ryder Greco made it a family affair on top of the box in October, with Carson sweeping both Pro Am races and Ryder doing the same in Youth Restricted. They have two of the largest points leads in the series coming into the weekend, with Carson 11 points ahead of Mikey Childress and Ryder up by 12 over Krew Hart.

Pulling double duty, Childress is in a heated battle with Kash Hart for top honors in Youth SXS. Childress drew first blood in the opening round in October, while Hart backed up his second-place finish in that race by beating Childress in the second race.

The largest points lead in the series belongs to 170 Production driver Banks Bawden. As one of the largest classes in CORR, a double podium on any weekend means a huge points haul; thanks to finishes of second and first in October, Bawden takes a 17-point advantage over Krayton O’Connor into this weekend.

Finally, Johnny Holtger makes his season debut behind the wheel in Pro Lite after Michael Funk filled in for him at the first event. Holtger has been the Pro Lite driver to beat in the Midwest in recent years, and Funk took a win and second place in the opening event as his substitute to allow him to enter the weekend tied for the points lead with Tobias Chevalier.

CORR Visits Rugged Radios DIRT EXPO: Scottsdale on December 5-7

Carson Greco’s ride will be one of five CORR vehicles on display at this weekend’s Rugged Radios DIRT EXPO in Scottsdale!

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) will be on hand for the 11th Annual Rugged Radios DIRT EXPO presented by DRT Motorsports at WestWorld of Scottsdale this Friday through Sunday, December 5-7. Featuring multiple CORR vehicles on display, autograph signings on both Saturday and Sunday, and exciting raffles and giveaways, it’s the perfect way for fans to get familiar with CORR before the series returns to action at Firebird Motorsports Park on December 12-14.

Five of CORR’s top racers will have their vehicles on display at DIRT EXPO: Johnny Holtger (Pro Lite), Mia Chapman (Pro Production), Carson Greco (Youth Restricted/RS1), and Stetson Wyman and Maisyn Atteberry (170 Limited). Chapman and Greco swept their classes in the opening doubleheader at Firebird in October, while Wyman scored a first and second and Holtger’s truck did the same with Michael Funk substituting behind the wheel.

On both Saturday and Sunday, the CORR booth will feature autograph sessions from 11AM-noon and 2-3PM. Wyman, Maisyn and Maverick Atteberry, and CORR on-air personality Tiffany Stone will all sign on both days, while Mia and Ryder Chapman and Robert and Ryder VanBeekum will join them on Sunday.

Looking to get up close with CORR? On-site attendees will have the chance to win a ride in the CORR pace truck during the next event at Firebird, as well as the opportunity to pick up tickets to the race. All giveaway and raffle participants/winners must be present at DIRT EXPO to participate.

Show hours are 3-8PM on Friday, 9AM-6PM on Saturday, and 9-4PM on Sunday. General admission tickets are $19.99 per day or $34.99 for a two pack (kids 12 and under free) and can be purchased online.

The Chase for the Championship Begins: CORR Readies for Firebird Doubleheader on December 12-14

After a strong season debut at Firebird Motorsports Park in October, Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) returns to action at its flagship Arizona venue on December 12-14. With three full days of on-track excitement, early registration discounts, and new low ticket prices, there’s no better way to ring in the holiday season for racers and race fans alike.

Race Registration | Season Membership | General Admission

Tickets for Rounds 3 and 4 are on sale now at new low prices. Single-day admission is $20, while a weekend pass covering all three days is $35 (kids 5 and under free). In addition, spectator camping is available for $20 on Saturday and $35 for the weekend.

Racer registration is also open now. Early registrations can enter the code FALL2025 at checkout to receive $50 off class entry, one pit/camping pass, and one weekend general admission pass—a total of $150 in savings!

Prior to race week, fans will have plenty of opportunities to get familiar with CORR:

  • Highlights from last month’s season opener at Firebird will air on RACER Network on Monday nights in December. Round 1 highlights will air on Monday, December 1 at 7PM PT, and Round 2 highlights will air on Monday, December 8 at 7PM PT.
  • CORR will have an on-site presence at Rugged Radios Dirt Expo, coming to Westworld of Scottsdale on December 5-7. Cars from Mia Chapman, John Holtger, Carson Greco, and Wade Wyman will all be on display. Show hours are 3PM-8PM Friday, 9AM-6PM Saturday, and 9AM-4PM Sunday, and admission is $19.99 per day (kids 12 and under free).

The season opener set the tone for an exciting season to come, with dramatic finishes all weekend long and only a handful of drivers able to sweep both rounds of the doubleheader. Chapman and Greco were two of the racers who managed to go back-to-back, while front-runners like Ryder VanBeekum, Chase Carr, and Ryder Chapman would also establish themselves as names to beat among the healthy Pro fields.

The series attracted first-time entries from Carr, Beau Judge, Jeremiah Wagner, and Kolton Krajicek, and it also kicked off its first Pro Lite championship. Holtger, the Midwest champion this year, will make his CORR season debut in December, joining Michael Funk, who filled in for him at the opener and is among those returning for the next event.

The 2025-26 CORR season is set to be the biggest in series history, with free live streaming coverage of all rounds on the RACER+ app, YouTube, Facebook, and Rumble joined by 10 one-hour recap shows on the RACER Network. Redemption for Carr, Dramatic Finishes Highlight CORR Sunday Action at Firebird

Double or nothing was the theme of the day at Firebird Motorsports Park on Sunday, as Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) wrapped up its first of five doubleheaders on the 2025-26 campaign. Some racers managed to sweep their classes, and others would end the day wondering what might have been.

Nowhere was the drama more apparent than the headlining Pro SXS and Pro NA classes. In Pro NA, Saturday winner Ryder VanBeekum came within a single corner of sweeping the weekend, leading Saturday’s Pro SXS winner Ryder Chapman in a clean fight to the finish. Instead, a brutally timed equipment failure would knock VanBeekum from first to fifth as he limped towards the line.

Chapman himself wasn’t immune from the curse, either. After a hotly contested battle with Chase Carr for yesterday’s Pro SXS win, Chapman found himself leading Carr once again late in the race. But he rolled in Turn 3, and despite putting the throttle down to try and recover, a broken rear suspension left him with three wheels and unable to continue, allowing Carr to move up a spot from yesterday.

Carr was just one of many racers to do one spot better from their Saturday second places. The phenomenon started early in both 170 classes, with Banks Bawden (Production) and Stetson Wyman (Limited) the first to pull it off. It continued in 800 Open with Addie Atteberry and Youth SXS with Kash Hart, and Carr was the first of three drivers to do it in a row in the adult classes, just before Brandon Kilgore (SR1) and Tobias Chevalier (Pro Lite). Behind Chevalier, Saturday winner Michael Funk and Nick Brandon had one of the closest finishes of the day battling for second, with Funk getting the edge because he landed the final jump first and was able to put the power down a little earlier.

Repeat winners from Saturday included Brody Kline, Kyle Niner, brothers Carson and Ryder Greco in their respective classes, Chace Quick, Matt Dyer, and Mia Chapman and Steve Hoffman in the Pro Production/Pro Am Turbo multi-class race. On Saturday, Hoffman got the jump on Chapman during the restart after the competition caution to win the overall; on Sunday, Chapman held the lead off the restart, and using the second place Pro Production car of Jeremy Spears as a buffer, built a gap to keep the overall lead across the line.

It’s the weekend Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) racers and fans have been waiting for: the start of an all new season. Firebird Motorsports Park will once again play host to CORR, as an expanded slate of classes, sponsors, and ways to watch make the 2025-26 season the biggest in series history.

Racer Spotlight

UTV racing remains the heart of CORR’s race program, and top stars from last season will be back to defend their honors. The father-son duo of Robert and Ryder VanBeekum are registered for both Pro SXS and Pro NA, with Ryder aiming to defend last year’s Pro SXS crown.

TJ Siewers will look to defend his Pro NA title against the VanBeekums and Brian Willett, who moves up after winning last year’s Youth NA Open title. Willett will also compete in Pro Production against names like Mia Chapman, who makes her return to short course racing, and Jason Weller.

Youth classes are a crucial part of CORR as the proving ground for the sport’s future stars. That starts at the 170 Production level, where 20 of the sport’s youngest racers will get their first taste of short course racing. Youth Restricted will feature multiple standouts from last season facing off, with 170 Expert champion Ryder Foerster and 800 Modified champion Addie Atteberry taking on names like Ryder Greco and Krew Hart, who finished second and third in last season’s class standings.

Other stars set to compete this weekend include Corry Weller, who will look to add to her incredible off-road resume in the SR1 class, and Michael Funk, who will fill in for midwest Pro Lite champion Johnny Holtger in the same class.

One Month Out! CORR Returns at Firebird October 18-19

The 2025-26 Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) season kicks off in one month, returning to Firebird Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona on October 18-19. Tickets are on sale and registration is open now for the West Coast’s premier short course off-road series, featuring two full days of race action for side-by-sides, cars, and trucks.

The battle begins at Firebird with two full days of race action, kicking off at 8AM each day with Youth SXS classes and progressing through the day into the Sportsman and Pro SXS classes. Complementing CORR’s existing SXS structure at the end of each race day will be the Pro Lite, Beehive 1450, SR1, and VW Production classes, making for one of the most exciting grids in off-road racing.

Many of west coast short course’s top drivers have already confirmed their entries, including Ryder and Robert VanBeekum, Mia and Ryder Chapman, TJ Siewers, and Conner Maxwell. Stay tuned to the CORR Instagram for continued driver announcements as registrations roll in before the opener.
