Beau Judge Headlines 2025-26 CORR Champions With Pro SXS Win in Firebird Finale

Beau Judge’s dominance of the premier class of Championship Off-Road Racing in 2025-26 came to its natural conclusion on Sunday, as he claimed the final Pro SXS win of the season at Firebird Motorsports Park. Already mathematically secure thanks to his charge from last to third on Saturday and an incoming 49-point lead, Judge made a mid-race pass on Saturday winner Conner Maxwell to earn his third win of the campaign and score a $2,500 champion’s bonus from series sponsor R-n-R Steel.

“It was a good run. I knew Conner and (Kyle) Arkenau were going to be good up there,” Judge said from the top step of the podium. “So I tried to hook to the back of Conner’s bumper as best as I could, made quick work of Arkenau, and just tried to apply the pressure. He was going so good that I had to wait for a mistake, and that’s what happened—he biked it and I was able to get by him, and after that I just kind of ran my own race.”

It was clear from before the first green flag even flew on Sunday that everyone would be going all-out to end the season on a high note. A pile-up on the 170 Production pace lap briefly delayed the start, although it wouldn’t prevent Greyson Gentry’s sweep of both the weekend and the title—a feat he would later replicate in 170 Limited as this season’s only dual-class champion.

Judge and Gentry were just two of the drivers who would sew up dominant championship campaigns with victories. Addie Atteberry would earn her ninth straight victory in 800 Open to seal the deal, while Paul O’Brien would earn the SR1 title in a thrilling head-to-head battle with Scott Webster. Johnny Holtger would outrun a $3,000 bounty on any Pro Lite driver who could beat him in the finale to go a perfect eight for eight; in fact, he’d still have won the title without the points Michael Funk scored substituting for him with a win and second place in the opening two rounds.

Others would cement their titles on lower steps of the podium. Third place was all it took for Elliott Brooke (250 Modified), Ryder Greco (Youth Restricted), and Timothy Jones (Sportsman) to claim their hardware; Brody Kline, Hayden Barler, and Liam Cadwell would take the race wins. Meanwhile, it’d be second place for two of the top Pro drivers, as Ryder VanBeekum would earn the other $2,500 R-n-R Steel champion’s bonus in Pro NA after coming home behind teammate Ryder Chapman, and Jeremy Spears would lock up the Pro Production title behind Rylen Lane, who swept the weekend.

The battle came down to the wire in Youth Production, where Tatum Foerster did everything he could with a win on Sunday, but Kyle Niner’s fourth place finish was enough to outscore him by just 11 points. Carson Greco and Michael Burnstein would earn the Pro Am and Pro Am Turbo titles, while Alex Ranuio and Troy Horak would take the race wins; Sportsman Turbo’s Matt Dyer and Youth SXS’ Mikey Childress would be the last drivers to pick up championship hardware on Sunday, although they each ran different classes for the finale.

If all that drama wasn’t enough, CORR organizers had one more card up their sleeve to end the season. More than a dozen parents of this year’s racers would step into their kids’ cars (for the most part) for an eight-lap showdown. It was in that race that Robert VanBeekum would finally return to the top of the box; running the Pro SXS that teammate Kyle Arkenau took to second place on Saturday, VanBeekum would start in the back with the other turbo entries, weave through traffic, miss the incidents, and get around all of the NA machines before the checkered flag.

“It was exciting, and it was harder than I expected to come from the back,” VanBeekum said after taking the win. “Trying to drive Kyle’s car was a handful. I don’t understand how he gets it around the track—it was not the same as ours. Ryder warned me before going in, he said ‘dad, this car doesn’t turn and it has no brakes,’ and he wasn’t lying!”

Conner Maxwell Headlines Action-Packed CORR Round 9 at Firebird With Pro SXS Win

If you could only pick one race to get a new race fan hooked on Championship Off-Road Racing, you couldn’t do much better than Saturday’s Pro SXS final.

Sure, the results might have looked predictable to longtime CORR fans. Top qualifier Conner Maxwell took his second victory of the season, followed by second place qualifier Kyle Arkenau and points leader Beau Judge. But anyone who would drill Round 9 down to its podium clearly wasn’t watching: multiple rollovers, a dramatic wheel-to-wheel battle between the father-son duo of Robert and Ryder VanBeekum, and even a one-lap dash to the finish after the final caution kept the race anything but predictable.

Even the podium finishers were anything but immune to the chaos. Judge—who was already at a disadvantage coming from ninth on the grid—got hooked on Ryder Chapman early in the race, rolled over after they unhooked, and had to drive all the way back from last place. Maxwell, meanwhile, had to survive a hard charge from Arkenau after the final restart with a tire going down.

“Something was clicking, I could hear it,” Maxwell said about the dash to the checkers. “We lost a clutch cover as well, so I was just trying to slow the car down, maintain it, not kick up too much roost into the clutches and get this thing through to tomorrow. We’ve got a big week ahead of us. (Winning) is tremendous, it makes me feel good inside to show up for all these guys. We’ll show up tomorrow and do it all again.”

The day started with Greyson Gentry sweeping the 170 Production and Limited classes as he looks to lock up both titles tomorrow. Gentry would set the tone for numerous points leaders on the day, with Addie Atteberry (800 Open) taking her eighth win in a row and Johnny Holtger (Pro Lite) earning his seventh straight. Ryder VanBeekum in Pro NA, Carson Greco in Pro Am, Michael Burnstein in Pro Am Turbo, Kyle Niner in Youth Production, and Paul O’Brien in SR1 would also extend their championship leads with wins on Saturday.

In addition, Round 9 saw three women take CORR race wins on the same day for the second time this season. Following Atteberry’s win in 800 Open, Zoe Easton would get the call to fill in for an injured Ryder Foerster in Youth Restricted and take the win over series newcomer Hayden Barler in her return to CORR. Rylen Lane would then earn her second win of the season in Pro Production in dramatic fashion; after getting on two wheels while trying to pass Todd Wittman for the lead the first time, she’d make the same move stick in the same corner one lap later. Murphy McKay (250 Modified) and Alex Ranuio (Sportsman) would complete the winner’s list.

Conner Maxwell Claims Final Pro SXS Pole of 2025-26 CORR Season at Firebird

After scoring his first win of the 2025-26 Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) season at Firebird Motorsports Park last month, Conner Maxwell joins Pro SXS points leader Beau Judge as just the second driver to have both won a race and qualified pole in the premier class this season. Maxwell’s 53.874 lap at Firebird in Friday’s Round 9 qualifying gave him the pole by .327 seconds over Kyle Arkenau, whose 54.201 was just one one-thousandth of a second off the lap that gave him the pole for Round 7 last month.

Robert VanBeekum kicked qualifying off in Pro NA with his second straight pole, taking the top spot by .143 seconds over Ryder Chapman in what turned out to be the smallest gap of the day. VanBeekum’s son and points leader Ryder will start third on Saturday as he looks to lock up the title and $5,000 champion’s award from series sponsor R-n-R Steel.

Besides VanBeekum, only a handful of other racers were able to back up their top qualifying times from last month. They included Johnny Holtger in Pro Lite, Carson Greco in Pro Am, Murphy McKay in 250 Modified, and Greyson Gentry in 170 Production—who will start his pursuit of both 170 class titles from the pole on both grids on Saturday.

Holtger and Gentry were just two of the incoming points leaders to take the top spot on the time charts today, alongside names like Paul O’Brien (SR1), Carson Greco (Pro Am), Michael Burnstein (Pro Am Turbo), and Mikey Childress (Youth SXS). Judge, on the other hand, will begin his pursuit of the $5,000 champion’s award from R-n-R Steel from ninth place, although he enters with a 51-point lead that should soften the blow.

Conner Maxwell Breaks Through for First Pro SXS Win of CORR Season at Firebird

After taking his first podium of the Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) season last month at Glen Helen Raceway, Conner Maxwell did a couple steps better on the box on Saturday afternoon at Firebird Motorsports Park. Maxwell took the lead early and scored his first victory of the season in Round 7, claiming the Maxxis Fastest Lap Award in the process.

“I knew I needed to get right to the front and run my own line,” said Maxwell. “I wanted to get out front, run clean lines, and get away from all the chaos. This one feels really good to get back up here on the box where I belong. Nothing feels greater than being up on the top step!”

The other two spots on the Pro SXS podium, meanwhile, changed in the closing laps. Ryder VanBeekum led his father Robert for second place coming into Lap 8, but a mechanical issue would force him to pull off. Beau Judge would ascend to third and haunt Robert VanBeekum for second going into the final lap, where the elder VanBeekum would also pull off track.

Cameron Bawden, who had already placed third in Pro Production, would get to replicate the result in Pro SXS as a result. But for Judge, clawing his way up to second would allow him to further extend his points lead over polesitter Kyle Arkenau, who finished fourth, and Bryan McCormick, who took an early DNF.

“We started in P6, and I knew we had our work cut out for us with the good competition here,” said Judge. “We just kept picking everybody off, and I think I was up to fifth by the competition yellow. I was able to get one guy off the restart, we got up to third, I was battling with Robert, and he must have had a belt go or something. By the time I got through everyone, Conner was just too far up.”

Ryder VanBeekum wouldn’t walk away from the day empty handed, though, as he won the Pro NA race earlier in the afternoon to extend his points lead to 12 over Ryder Chapman. Other Pro class winners included Trent Ouellette in a surprise entry in Pro Production, Kash Hart in Pro Am after a late spin for Carson Greco, and Michael Burnstein in Pro Am Turbo.

The Sportsman race saw a dramatic finish thanks to Timothy Jones, who put on a show to earn his first win of the season. He passed both Chris Leaming for the class win and Sportsman Turbo winner Calvin Odell for the overall win in the final lap of the race.

“It was a really fun race, especially with the final restart coming,” said Jones. “I thought I had lost it on the restart, I had my spotter tell me to back up off the Turbo guys. I left it open in Turn 1, he got through, had to battle back a couple laps later, secured number one. It was a fun race.”

The two Youth classes were swept by the Foerster family, with Tatum Foerster winning the Production race and Ryder Foerster claiming the checkers in Youth Restricted. In the youngest divisions, Addie Atteberry extended her winning streak to six races in 800 Open, Murphy McKay returned to the series with his first win of the season in 250 Modified, and Greyson Gentry swept both the 170 Limited and Production races. Johnny Holtger (Pro Lite) and Jason Weller (SR1) rounded out the winners on the day.

Kyle Arkenau Tops Pro SXS Qualifying as CORR Season Resumes at Firebird

Pro SXS title contender Kyle Arkenau threw down the fastest time in qualifying for CORR’s return to Firebird Motorsports Park, turning a 54.200 on Friday afternoon to take the pole. The lap was .303 seconds faster than defending series champion Ryder VanBeekum in second, as drivers look to whittle down Beau Judge’s points lead in Rounds 7 and 8 this weekend.

In fact, VanBeekum qualified second in both top Pro classes, as he ran second to his father Robert in Pro NA as well. Multiple points leaders came out on top of their respective qualifying sessions, including Carson Greco (Pro Am), Jeremy Spears (Pro Production), Johnny Holtger (Pro Lite), and Addie Atteberry (800 Open).

Many classes saw extremely close pole fights that suggest this weekend’s action will be hotly contested. Tanner Wittman’s Pro Am Turbo pole came by just .013 seconds over Michael Burnstein, while Tatum Foerster turned a lap of exactly one minute in Youth Production to beat five-time race winner Kyle Niner by .024 seconds. Austin Dorn only outqualified Chris Leaming in Sportsman by .051 seconds, and Ryder Foerster beat Jaxon Cotter by the exact same margin in Youth Restricted.

Beau Judge Breaks Through at CORR Glen Helen, Extends Pro SXS Points Lead

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) Pro SXS points leader Beau Judge finally scored his first win of the 2025-26 season on Sunday at Glen Helen Raceway. From the outside of the front row, Judge grabbed the lead from Saturday winner Augie Renezeder in turn one and never looked back.

“All we did was make a tire pressure adjustment (from Saturday), and the car was way better,” Judge said from the top step of the podium. “It’s amazing what five pounds of pressure will do in the rear. We’re just trying to move up slowly and not take too many bites of anything, but we’re super consistent and we’ve been on the podium every single round but one. I just knew that if I kept putting myself in the right position it would be a matter of time before I got the top spot.”

Judge had been on a tear to start the Pro SXS campaign, qualifying on pole in the opener at Firebird Motorsports Park, earning three podiums there, and taking his fourth of the season on Saturday after chasing Renezeder for most of the race. While he entered Sunday’s action with a 28-point advantage over Bryan McCormick, he was determined to add a win to the tally sooner than later.

When the green flag fell, Judge shot out to the front of the field, surviving two restarts with a hard-charging Renezeder hot on his tail. Shortly after the latter, Renezeder would suffer a mechanical failure that forced him to pull off track, yielding the pursuit to defending champion Ryder VanBeekum and Kyle Arkenau. But VanBeekum would suffer issues of his own in the closing laps, moving Arkenau up to second and giving third place to McCormick.

Youth racers kicked off the day with weekend sweeps in both 170 classes, with Greyson Gentry in Production and Kaysen Stowell in Limited, and the trend continued with wins for Addie Atteberry (800 Open), Tatum Foerster (Youth Production), Krew Hart (Youth Restricted), and Mikey Childress Jr. (Youth SXS). Of the young racers, only Elliott Brooke, who scored his third win of the season in 250 Modified, didn’t also take a victory on Saturday.

When the pros took over, it was a VanBeekum family sweep in Pro NA, as Ryder VanBeekum scored the Sunday win after his father Robert took the checkered flag on Saturday. Jeremy Spears and Matt Dyer would return to the top steps on the box with wins in Pro Production and Sportsman Turbo, while Carson Greco in Pro-Am, Brandon Birmingham in Pro-Am Turbo, and Ryan Bragdon in Sportsman would each go two for two on the weekend.

Wrapping things up was an intense SR1 final, which saw Brandon Kilgore deny Scott Webster a weekend sweep by just .887 seconds at the line. Following that, John Holtger’s dominance of Pro Lite continued with his second win in as many days over Michael Funk, who subbed for Holtger in the opener from Firebird.

Augie Renezeder Wins CORR Debut as Series Opens Glen Helen Doubleheader

As Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) firmly took the torch of short course off-road racing in the southwest with its debut at Glen Helen Raceway on Saturday, so, too, did the next generation of one of the sport’s most famous names.

Following in the footsteps of his legendary father Carl, Augie Renezeder stormed out of the gate in CORR’s premier Pro SXS class in a car built by another iconic name, Doug Mittag. The younger Renezeder posted a clean sweep of Saturday’s Round 5 action, qualifying first, posting the Maxxis Tires Fast Lap, and earning the victory in his series debut.

“I think it’s just believing in myself, the car, my family, and everybody coaching me, and staying as calm as possible,” Renezeder said when asked about how he took the win. “I’d like to thank my family—my head crew chief, my uncle Frank, has been working his butt off to put all this together.”

Second place went to championship leader Beau Judge, who extended the advantage with his fourth podium of the season. In spite of early chaos that saw him take contact off the start, Judge was determined not to pay it forward when chasing down Renezeder—and he was rewarded with a points advantage over Bryan McCormick that has swelled to 28.

“Right when we got off the start, going into turn one I got hit in the back and almost spun out, but I was able to make the rhythm section,” Judge explained. “Augie was running a good race, and I was right behind him… in Turn 4 he was making a swoop and he stepped out a little bit, but I didn’t want to slam into him so I slammed super hard on the brakes. I don’t know if it did something to the diff but it just made the car seem super loose from there on.”

The dream of a perfect season is over for the last two remaining drivers who had a shot coming in, as both Kyle Niner in Youth Production and Ryder Greco in Youth Restricted would occupy other spots on the podium. Niner would fight through the loss of all-wheel drive to place third while Tatum Foerster led every lap, while Greco would fall just .406 seconds short of Krew Hart at the line in a dramatic finish.

In fact, almost every Youth class would see a first-time winner on the season. Greyson Gentry kicked off the streak of new winners in 170 Production, followed by Maisyn Atteberry in 250 Modified, and Kaysen Stowell in 170 Limited. Addie Atteberry and Mikey Childress scored their fourth wins of the year in 800 Open and Youth SXS, respectively, to equal Niner and Greco on the season.

In Pro NA, it was father and son taking the top honors in the race, as Robert VanBeekum took the checkered flag and Ryder posted the Maxxis Fast Lap. VanBeekum, Pro Production’s Rylen Lane, Pro-Am Turbo’s Brandon Birmingham, Sportsman’s Ryan Bragdon, and SR1’s Scott Webster earned their first wins of the year in the Pro classes. Carson Greco joined the list of four-time winners on the season in Pro-Am, while Calvin O’Dell took his second in Sportsman Turbo and John Holtger took his fourth in Pro Lite to cap off the day.

CORR Race Preview: 2025-26 Rounds 5-6 | Glen Helen

San Bernardino’s Glen Helen Raceway is known in the motocross and short course off-road communities alike as one of the sport’s preeminent facilities. The short course circuit puts thrilling finishes right in front of the fans on its long front stretch, while a mix of tight and flowing corners and jumps keep drivers honest in their pursuit of the checkered flag.

Racer Spotlight

Short course off-road racing in Southern California has developed a flavor all its own over the years, and CORR’s debut at Glen Helen will mark a passing of the torch for it in more ways than one. Fans who grew up watching names like Renezeder, Brooks, and Currie will see those names on track once again—except instead of Carl, Jerett, and Casey, it’ll be their kids taking the green flag as part of the next generation of stars. (Of course, their dads will still be with us to cheer them on.)

Ryder VanBeekum knows a thing or two about taking the torch, particularly at Glen Helen. Now competing against his dad, Robert, in multiple classes, Ryder has celebrated some of the biggest triumphs of his short course career at this track. This weekend, he’ll be coming in with a single-point advantage in Pro NA over his close friend Ryder Chapman, although Trent Ouellette sits within striking distance in third. The trio have split all four class wins so far this season.

The premier Pro SXS class swells to more than 20 projected entries, which means that the best chance for anyone to catch points leader Beau Judge might be in Glen Helen. He’s got 18 points in hand over Bryan McCormick, but the spread from second place to fifth is just seven points. Even more dominant are Kyle Niner in Youth Production and Ryder Greco in Youth Restricted, as both went four for four on wins in the opening rounds at Firebird before the start of the new year.

Meanwhile, the Pro Lite field continues to get even stronger with the CORR debut of Brent Smith, who trades in his microphone for a helmet as he slots into points leader Johnny Holtger’s second truck. Michael Funk will instead slide into his familiar truck from the midwest as the trucks boast their largest field since joining the series.

Three Winners in Three Races for Top CORR Classes After Saturday Action at Firebird

Three of Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR)’s top Pro classes have seen three different winners in as many races to start the 2025-26 season after Saturday’s action at Firebird Motorsports Park. Koen Crawford (Pro SXS) and Johnny Holtger (Pro Lite) took wins in their first turns behind the wheel this season, while Trent Ouellette (Pro NA) broke through after posting the top qualifying time at both events so far this year.

Crawford was one of many newcomers in CORR’s top SXS class, which swelled from 10 entries at Firebird two months ago to 17 this weekend. He outlasted the field in a hard-fought race that saw multiple early incidents and a hard fight from Beau Judge, who nonetheless walked away with his third podium of the season.

“It was great!” said Crawford. “We struggled in qualifying with some turbo issues, but we got the boost figured out. I’d just like to thank Beau, he raced me perfectly clean, and that was probably the most fun race I’ve had in a while. After the mandatory (caution), I lost brakes—they went straight to the floor, it was definitely a struggle to get around.”

“It was an awesome battle between us two,” added Judge. “He was driving the wheels off his car, I was driving the wheels off my car. On the restart, I thought I had him, but he was just able to pull back ahead of me again. But it was totally fun—he was racing me clean, and it was great.”

For Holtger, Saturday was his second credited win of the season, after Michael Funk filled in for him in October and won the opener. For his efforts, Funk was rewarded with a ride of his own this time around, scoring second place. Ouellette, meanwhile, had to hold off Ryder Vanbeekum and Ryder Chapman for the Pro NA checkered flag, as all three of that class’s winners so far this year shared the podium.

“It’s been a lot of work to get here,” said Ouellette. “Qualifying went really good yesterday, I just wanted to get out front and have a clean race. Me and Bobby (Vanbeekum) had a good battle going the first couple laps, then he broke, but then my spotter said Ryder was right there, we gotta go, gotta go. It was a really fun race!”

Only Mia Chapman could buck the trend in the Pro classes, taking her third straight Pro Production win thanks in part to an exciting outside pass around Rylen Lane after the mid-race restart. The only other drivers with perfect seasons so far are Kyle Niner in Youth Production and Ryder Greco in Youth Restricted.

Mikey Childress and Kash Hart are set for one of the toughest battles of the year in Youth SXS after splitting the opener, and it was Childress who broke the tie with his second win of the season as Hart clawed his way from the back of the pack to second on Saturday. Paul O’Brien also added his second win of the season in SR1, while Stetson Wyman (170 Limited) and Addie Atteberry (800 Open) are now on two-race winning streaks.

Like the top two Pro classes, a deep 170 Production field has seen three winners in as many rounds, with Bryce Tomassi the latest. Also scoring their first wins of the season were Elliott Brooke (250 Modified), Jayden Manchester-Coon (Pro Am), Rhyan Denney (Pro Am Turbo), Shaun Jones (Sportsman), and Calvin O’Dell (Sportsman Turbo).

CORR Visits Rugged Radios DIRT EXPO: Scottsdale on December 5-7

Carson Greco’s ride will be one of five CORR vehicles on display at this weekend’s Rugged Radios DIRT EXPO in Scottsdale!

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) will be on hand for the 11th Annual Rugged Radios DIRT EXPO presented by DRT Motorsports at WestWorld of Scottsdale this Friday through Sunday, December 5-7. Featuring multiple CORR vehicles on display, autograph signings on both Saturday and Sunday, and exciting raffles and giveaways, it’s the perfect way for fans to get familiar with CORR before the series returns to action at Firebird Motorsports Park on December 12-14.

Five of CORR’s top racers will have their vehicles on display at DIRT EXPO: Johnny Holtger (Pro Lite), Mia Chapman (Pro Production), Carson Greco (Youth Restricted/RS1), and Stetson Wyman and Maisyn Atteberry (170 Limited). Chapman and Greco swept their classes in the opening doubleheader at Firebird in October, while Wyman scored a first and second and Holtger’s truck did the same with Michael Funk substituting behind the wheel.

On both Saturday and Sunday, the CORR booth will feature autograph sessions from 11AM-noon and 2-3PM. Wyman, Maisyn and Maverick Atteberry, and CORR on-air personality Tiffany Stone will all sign on both days, while Mia and Ryder Chapman and Robert and Ryder VanBeekum will join them on Sunday.

Looking to get up close with CORR? On-site attendees will have the chance to win a ride in the CORR pace truck during the next event at Firebird, as well as the opportunity to pick up tickets to the race. All giveaway and raffle participants/winners must be present at DIRT EXPO to participate.

Show hours are 3-8PM on Friday, 9AM-6PM on Saturday, and 9-4PM on Sunday. General admission tickets are $19.99 per day or $34.99 for a two pack (kids 12 and under free) and can be purchased online.
