Championship Off-Road Racing Introduces CORR NEXT

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) is thrilled to announce the creation of CORR NEXT, an all-new regional championship for beginner and non-professional short course racers. Comprised of five doubleheader events at Arizona’s Firebird Motorsports Park, the most frequent host of events in CORR history, the new series will serve as a feeder system for racers looking to work their way up to the premier CORR presented by AMSOIL tour.

The full 2026-27 CORR NEXT calendar is as follows:

  • Rounds 1-2: October 10-11
  • Rounds 3-4: December 12-13
  • Rounds 5-6: January 23-24
  • Rounds 7-8: March 13-14
  • Rounds 9-10: April 24-25

The goal of CORR NEXT is to deliver an affordable grassroots off-road racing experience for newcomers and sportsman racers alike. As a result, CORR NEXT events will be oriented towards competitors and their families, with a focus on track time and racer development. CORR NEXT will utilize fewer production elements than the higher-level CORR presented by AMSOIL tour in order to keep costs down and prioritize driver development.

As part of the new program, CORR is pleased to announce that Dan Hurn will serve as CORR NEXT series director. Both Hurn and his daughter Chloe were among the top competitors in their CORR classes last season, finishing second in their respective class championships, and Hurn will apply his experience towards running CORR NEXT with racing families at the front of mind.

“I’m extremely excited and honored to be invited to become part of the CORR management family and to take on the role of Race Director for CORR NEXT,” said Hurn. “I’m looking forward to this new chapter for CORR and the opportunity to bring a vision focused on growing the sport from the ground up. CORR NEXT is being created with beginners, youth racers, and up-and-coming amateur racers in mind—especially those who may not yet feel ready to make the jump into a larger CORR event.

“Ultimately, we want CORR NEXT to be a place where someone can take their first step into short-course racing, feel like they belong, and have a clear path to grow within the sport—and hopefully one day make the move into the main CORR series.”

CORR presented by AMSOIL Adds Pro 2 and Pro Buggy, Confirms Return of Pro Lite for 2026-27 Season

For the first time in series history, Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) presented by AMSOIL will introduce Pro 2 and Pro Buggy racing as part of its revised class list for the 2026-27 season. The series will also bring back Pro Lite racing for the second consecutive year. These additions will further expand CORR’s race program, supplementing its side-by-side roots with more truck and buggy racing.

“It’s very exciting for us to include Pro 2, Pro Lite, and Pro Buggy as part of the upcoming CORR season,” said CORR co-owner Jason Ramsay. “We’ve been asked by quite a few racers to expand our classes so they can come out and compete, and adding them is a great opportunity for us to grow professional short course racing in the southwest. We’re looking forward to having a lot of new racers join us as we kick off the new season in November!”

Pro 2 trucks represent some of the highest-level short course off-road racing in North America, with powerful V8 engines producing up to 800 horsepower and durable truck bodies that can go wheel-to-wheel on the dirt and in the air. Pro Buggy vehicles, meanwhile, trade large motors and high horsepower for lightness, agility, and aggressive suspension design on a single-seat, open-wheel body. Both are among the fastest classes in the sport, and both have an extensive history competing in the southwest.

Pro 2 and Pro Buggy join Pro Lite, which made its CORR debut with the 2025-26 season, on the series ladder. While the Pro Lite trucks produce roughly half the horsepower of a Pro 2, the racing is just as exciting, and the platform serves as a perfect stepping stone for the Pro 2 truck. Johnny Holtger took the inaugural Pro Lite championship.

The Pro 2, Pro Buggy, and Pro Lite class confirmations coincide with the release of the full 2026-27 CORR rulebook, which is available to racers now.

CORR presented by AMSOIL Unveils 2026-27 Rulebook, Class List

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) presented by AMSOIL is proud to share its new rulebook and class list for the 2026-27 season. The rulebook, which can be found at www.corracing.com, features an expanded class list, as well as USAC-compatible rule sets designed to be in alignment with other nationally sanctioned short course off-road series.

“With this year’s updated CORR rules, we hope to deliver exactly what racers want: an easy-to-understand and accessible race series that puts them first,” said CORR co-owner Jason Ramsay. “Our goals were to give our returning racers a refined version of the rulebook they already knew, while making it as easy as possible for new racers to jump in and compete. We think we’ve done that on both fronts, and we look forward to welcoming our regulars and newcomers alike when the season starts at Firebird in November!”

CORR’s updated class list for the 2026-27 season features 17 classes, ranging from the youth classes that have proven popular in past seasons to the addition of Pro 2 and Pro Buggy classes alongside six Pro SXS classes and Pro Lite trucks. The full class list is as follows:

CORR presented by AMSOIL Announces 2026–27 Championship Schedule

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) has announced its 2026–27 CORR presented by AMSOIL championship schedule, featuring 10 rounds of short-course off-road racing across five doubleheader weekends in Arizona, Nevada and California.

The new season will include return visits to Firebird Motorsports Park and Glen Helen Raceway, along with two highly anticipated weekends at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as CORR brings short-course off-road racing back to Las Vegas in January and March 2027.

The 2026–27 CORR presented by AMSOIL schedule is:

  • Rounds 1–2: November 20–22 — Firebird Motorsports Park — Chandler, Arizona
  • Rounds 3–4: January 8–10 — Las Vegas Motor Speedway — Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Rounds 5–6: February TBD — Glen Helen Raceway — San Bernardino, California
  • Rounds 7–8: March 27–28 — Las Vegas Motor Speedway — Las Vegas, Nevada

The season opens November 20–22 at Firebird Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona, before CORR makes its first trip to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on January 8–10. Glen Helen Raceway returns to the championship in February, followed by a second Las Vegas weekend March 27–28. The 10-round season concludes April 16–18 at Firebird Motorsports Park.

Championship Off-Road Racing Welcomes AMSOIL as Presenting Sponsor

PHOENIX, Ariz. — August 21, 2026 — Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) officials are thrilled to welcome AMSOIL as the series’ new presenting sponsor, beginning with the 2026-27 season. The series will be known as CORR presented by AMSOIL for the new campaign, which will once again feature some of the top names in the sport doing battle on top tracks across the southwestern United States.

The announcement follows the biggest CORR season yet in 2025-26. With the addition of exciting new classes, prominent new racers, and a RACER Network television package that included more than 90 airings across 10 rounds, the series has set a strong foundation for the coming year. CORR presented by AMSOIL will build on that foundation in 2026-27 with exciting new venues and additional developments to come.

Championship Off-Road Racing Honors 2025-26 Title Winners at Series Banquet in Phoenix

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) honored its 2025-26 champions at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort on August 8, bringing its most recent season to a close with its annual Awards Banquet. Racers and their families were welcomed to an exciting night of food, community, and celebration, hosted by CORR commentator Tiffany Stone, as the series capped off its biggest and most thrilling season to date.

During the banquet, CORR leadership thanked staff and sponsors for their essential support of the series this season, as well as sharing its vision for the future of the series. The top three drivers in each class were then recognized with awards. CORR would like to once again congratulate its champions from the 2025-26 season:

CORR Rounds 7 and 8 Shift to Firebird Motorsports Park on March 27-29

After careful consideration, Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) will be unable to hold Rounds 7 and 8 of its 2025-26 season at the San Bernardino Fairgrounds in Victorville, CA as previously announced. These rounds will instead be shifted to Firebird Motorsports Park in Chandler, AZ, to be held on the same weekend, March 27-29.

CORR Moves 2025-26 Season Finale at Firebird to April 17-19

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) has announced a shift in the final doubleheader event of its 2025-26 season, which will now be held at Firebird Motorsports Park on April 17-19, 2026. The shift allows CORR to avoid scheduling conflicts in the off-road industry while also producing a better racing experience for its competitors and fans.

Shifting the season finale up two weeks allows for CORR teams to race under more favorable conditions, as average temperatures are up to 10 degrees lower in the area in April than at the beginning of May. The more compressed schedule also gives teams more time to re-prep their vehicles for summer events, as well as avoiding conflicts with other major events across America. Such a decision is not taken lightly, and was made with careful consideration of the interests of all parties.

CORR’s first two doubleheader events of the season came at Firebird in October and December, drawing some of the sport’s biggest stars to the Arizona track and producing four exciting live streams and subsequent highlight shows on the RACER Network. The return of the series to Firebird for the April finale will produce more of the same exciting action thanks to the opportunity for more racers and teams to compete.

The 2025-26 CORR campaign continues on February 13-15 at Glen Helen Raceway. Racer registration is open now, while tickets for Rounds 5 and 6 can be purchased at the gate on race weekend. Combined Saturday and Sunday admission is $20, while a weekend pass covering all three days is $30 and a Sunday-only ticket is $10. In addition, spectator camping is available for $20 per night. The series will also visit SBC Fairgrounds on March 27-29 before returning to Firebird for the season finale in April.
