CORR Partners With USAC for 2026-27 Season

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) has partnered with the United States Auto Club (USAC) for sanctioning for its upcoming 2026-27 CORR presented by AMSOIL and CORR NEXT seasons. This partnership brings CORR under one of the world’s most prominent and accomplished racing sanctioning bodies, helping to standardize rules for racers and provide the essential insurance to operate CORR events.

“Partnering with USAC is the latest major step in the evolution of CORR,” said CORR owner Glen Banta. “We’re thrilled to have them as our new sanctioning body partner for the coming season. Their expertise in handling many of the other top off road series in America allows us to provide a top-tier, familiar experience for our newcomers from other series, while also elevating the profile of our events for longtime CORR competitors.”

“USAC is excited to be part of CORR,” said Jason Smith, President – USAC Racing. “We see how CORR fits in the larger American off road landscape, and we feel that having short course running year round is a benefit for all of the sport’s racers and sponsors. We’re looking forward to starting our first season together and excited for the sport’s future.”

As part of the partnership, a team of USAC industry veterans will serve in key roles at CORR events. Brian Bennett (Tech Director) and Drew Schultz (Tech) will handle technical aspects of the series, while Lee Perfect (Race Director) and Bronsen Chiaramonte (Race Steward) will serve in race control.

CORR racers who are new to USAC competition may purchase a 2027 USAC Off Road License now. A license purchased for the upcoming CORR season will be valid through December 31, 2027, giving CORR racers up to approximately three additional months of coverage at no additional charge. Licensing options are also available for racers who plan to compete, or already compete, in other USAC-sanctioned off road series.

The CORR race director has the discretion during the season to request a Beginner to move up to the Experienced class if the driver shows experience above and beyond that considered to be Beginner. Points will be carried up to the experience class with a 50% reduction for any move up, voluntary or requested.

Experienced Definition

Any Racer who has raced for more than 4 completed races in a “Short Course” series will qualify for CORR NEXT Experienced classes. All CORR presented by AMSOIL series racers qualify as Experienced racers unless they only attended 2 race weekends in the last 2 years of competition.

Missing racer slots will be filled with the next racer in line according to current points.

Vehicle Rules

All race vehicles MUST follow the CORR rulebook regardless of Beginner or Experienced class definition. These rules are general safety requirements and must be followed and inspected in tech.

2026-27 CORR Membership Registration Open Now!

Membership registration for the 2026-27 Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) season is officially open. Click here to register now!

This year’s CORR membership covers both CORR series: CORR presented by AMSOIL, and CORR NEXT. Racers will not have to purchase duplicate memberships to compete in both series, and CORR NEXT racers who want to move up to CORR presented by AMSOIL mid-season will not need to register a second time.

Registering for a CORR membership is how racers secure their CORR race number. Returning CORR racers who register by September 27, 2026 will have the first right to retain their race number from the 2025-26 season. Following that deadline, race numbers will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis, with no preference between new or returning racers. Assigned CORR race numbers will be valid across both CORR presented by AMSOIL and CORR NEXT events; the same number will not be assigned to racers in the same class across both series.

In the coming weeks, CORR will open registration for USAC off-road licenses (which cover on-site insurance) and for its individual race events (which covers participation). Competitors must have both their CORR membership and USAC license to register for race events.

CORR Spotlight—CORR Marketplace: For Racers, By Racers

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) has relaunched its official Facebook group as CORR Marketplace. CORR Marketplace serves as a location for CORR racers to buy, sell, and trade race vehicles, parts, equipment, and more.

With the addition of CORR NEXT, a new regional series that supplements the premier CORR presented by AMSOIL tour, the need for racers to source cars and equipment to compete is stronger than ever. By building CORR Marketplace, the CORR community now has a resource to keep these needs within a trusted and familiar group of experienced racers.

Experienced CORR racers have already taken advantage of the group to list race-legal cars from multiple levels of the series ladder. Because many of these vehicles have already competed in CORR, newcomers can trust that they will be ready to compete in the series with many turnkey or near-turnkey options available.

The CORR Marketplace Facebook group can be accessed at facebook.com/groups/corracing. CORR Marketplace is not a dealer/re-seller group for businesses.

Championship Off-Road Racing Introduces CORR NEXT

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) is thrilled to announce the creation of CORR NEXT, an all-new regional championship for beginner and non-professional short course racers. Comprised of five doubleheader events at Arizona’s Firebird Motorsports Park, the most frequent host of events in CORR history, the new series will serve as a feeder system for racers looking to work their way up to the premier CORR presented by AMSOIL tour.

The full 2026-27 CORR NEXT calendar is as follows:

  • Rounds 1-2: October 10-11
  • Rounds 3-4: December 12-13
  • Rounds 5-6: January 23-24
  • Rounds 7-8: March 13-14
  • Rounds 9-10: April 24-25

The goal of CORR NEXT is to deliver an affordable grassroots off-road racing experience for newcomers and sportsman racers alike. As a result, CORR NEXT events will be oriented towards competitors and their families, with a focus on track time and racer development. CORR NEXT will utilize fewer production elements than the higher-level CORR presented by AMSOIL tour in order to keep costs down and prioritize driver development.

As part of the new program, CORR is pleased to announce that Dan Hurn will serve as CORR NEXT series director. Both Hurn and his daughter Chloe were among the top competitors in their CORR classes last season, finishing second in their respective class championships, and Hurn will apply his experience towards running CORR NEXT with racing families at the front of mind.

“I’m extremely excited and honored to be invited to become part of the CORR management family and to take on the role of Race Director for CORR NEXT,” said Hurn. “I’m looking forward to this new chapter for CORR and the opportunity to bring a vision focused on growing the sport from the ground up. CORR NEXT is being created with beginners, youth racers, and up-and-coming amateur racers in mind—especially those who may not yet feel ready to make the jump into a larger CORR event.

“Ultimately, we want CORR NEXT to be a place where someone can take their first step into short-course racing, feel like they belong, and have a clear path to grow within the sport—and hopefully one day make the move into the main CORR series.”

Additional announcements regarding the 2026-27 CORR presented by AMSOIL season will be made in the coming days.
